We are delighted to announce that the 12th Ian Hobson International Piano Festival will take place from May 25 to May 31, 2026, in the heart of historic Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.
IHIPF is a vibrant and inspiring environment for young pianists to learn, grow, and achieve their artistic goals. Each year, outstanding students from around the world gather to study, perform, and immerse themselves in an intensive week of music-making.
All events are held at The Gallery Inn, home to a superb Steinway Model D from the golden era of Steinway production. This magnificent historic building—located within sight of the iconic 16th-century fortification El Morro—offers a truly unique setting, captured and presented in state-of-the-art recording conditions.

What to Expect
Academics
IHIPF offers an intense one-week program filled with learning experiences. Throughout the week, participants will receive four individual lessons, and have the opportunity to attend and observe lessons given to their colleagues.

Full Scholarship and Housing
We provide our academic programs and concerts for tuition-free to all the enrolled students. Additionally, participants are offered complimentary shared-room accommodations.

Performance Opportunities
Each student has the opportunity to perform in the student gala concerts, presenting either a solo work or a concerto movement. This experience allows participants to share their musical achievements in a supportive and celebratory setting.
