We are delighted to announce that the 10th Ian Hobson International Piano Festival will take place in May 24-30, 2024!
IHIPF is a thriving environment for young pianists to learn, grow, and achieve their goals. Every year, students from across the globe gather to study and perform at IHIPF, held in the heart of historical Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.
All events take place in The Gallery Inn, which houses a superb Steinway D from the golden era of Steinway production.
This magnificent building in Old San Juan, within sight of the spectacular 16th-century fortification El Moro, is recorded in state-of-the-art conditions.

What to Expect
Academics
IHIPF offers an intense one-week program filled with learning experiences. Throughout the week, participants will receive four individual lessons, and have the opportunity to attend and observe lessons given to their colleagues.

Full Scholarship and Housing
We provide our academic programs and concerts for tuition-free to all the enrolled students. Additionally, participants are offered complimentary shared-room accommodations.

Performance Opportunities
Each student gets to showcase their talents in student gala concerts. With the choice of performing a solo piece or a concerto movement, this is a thrilling and memorable experience for all participants.
